What did they say when you pointed out to them that they had rung up the wrong price? Did they correct it?

Anyone can make a mistake. That doesn’t mean it’s a “scam”.

I would like to think they don’t intentionally scam people but I do think they are careless when pricing sale items. They will have a rack or a bin with items that are supposedly sale priced. The price is marked on the rack but the individual items don’t show the marked down price so at checkout they will try to tell you that the item you picked was not one of the sale items.

You could say this was an isolated incident but this situation happened again a couple of weeks ago to my wife.

In my case because I made a fuss they sold the disputed item at the sale price but in my wife’s case they refused to honor the sale price (and she refused to purchase the item at full price).
