When you see a person in Kmart clothes with big diamonds and louis vuitton?
August 4th, 2009 | by admin |Tired Mum asked:
I was just posting about my LV bag and it got me thinking the reason I don’t like to use it is because I assume that people will think it is a fake I also have a nice big engagement ring and when I wear it I think that people will take one look at me and assume it’s not real diamonds because I don’t dress fancy, I wear track pants and Kmart clothes. I was reading somewhere that if you want to know if someone’s diamond is real check what they are wearing, if they are wearing kmart clothes its probably fake. Does it not occur to people that because buying clothes from Kmart saves you so much money you can afford to buy bigger diamonds? I don’t care what I am dressed in, Im a stay at home mum and fashion passed me by years ago hehe. If you saw me in trackies with my ridiculously overpriced accessories would you think they were all fake?
I dont always wear track pants, I do wear jeans too (if my trackpants have snot on them lol) but what I mean is I don’t normally ‘dress up’ I dress comfy and I don’t wear make up unless Im going out for a date night.
You know what I cannot even tell if somebody is wearing clothes from Kmart hahaha They all look the same to me, when I referred to Kmart clothes I just mean cheap (like $15 a top cheap and $40 jeans) Wow can you really tell where people buy their clothes from? I am in Australia and the clothes in Kmart look so much like clothes from Target and Myer. Maybe its just me though lol

I have to be honest, I would definitely think they are fake. Just because you’re a stay at home mom, doesn’t mean that you have to wear track pants to go out. Jeans are just as comfortable and will make you look more put together.

no probably not because i know a lot of people who have very expensive accessories that wear a lot of clothes that they just find are comfortable to them so go ahead and use your louis vutton and flaunt what you have!

i think the same way too! im not rich at all but i have a LV and i dont use it because i think people will probably think its fake. honestly, if i saw someone at kmart with a louis, i would probably think its fake. it could be real or it might not be, but the clothes that people wear also contribute to their status

Who is anyone to judge you? I think your idea of buying clothes in K Mart or Walmart is excellent. Why spend tons of money on clothes to clean the house. I, too, enjoy really nice jewelry. Keep doing what your doing and don’t give a fig about what others think. Do what makes you happy.

You should not care what other people think of you. Heck, I buy my clothes at Fashion Bug and Wal Mart. The only “brand named” things I but for myself are Nikes. I don’t even buy my 7 and 3 year olds brand names. I don’t see a point in spending that money when they grow out of things so quickly.
If you know that your items are the real thing than that is all that matters. Don’t let other people dictate how you see yourself and what matters to you.
Have fun taking care of those kids!!!!

Not at all. Trust me. I’ve seen an old man riding a bicycle, carrying thousands in cash wrapped in newspaper. Now, imagine that. No one will think he’s rich, although he is a millionaire on a bicycle.

Honestly, people probably do think the diamond ring & Louis Vuitton bag are fake because of the K-Mart clothes. Most people can’t afford that kind of stuff, so they just assume no one else can either. But no matter what you wear, people will still probably think it’s fake. For example: I’m a stay at home Mom too (I have a 3 year old & 6 year old) & whenever I go out to the grocery store or something like that I wear a Juicy Couture velour track suit & my REAL Chanel purse. Someone once asked me “Where did you get your purse?” Obviously I got it at Chanel, but they assumed it was fake…even with my Juicy tracksuit on they still thought it was fake. So my answer is, no matter what you wear most people will still think the accessories are fake. But who cares, you know it’s real & that’s all that really matters.

First, why let what others think dictate what you do? If you’re comfortable in your track pants, then wear them. I’m also a stay at home mom, and don’t ‘dress up’, but I DO make an attempt to make myself look nice/presentable for me, my hubby and any visitors that may stop by, but mainly for me, because I feel better and get more accomplished if I’ve taken care of myself. Now to answer the actual question… it doesn’t just depend on your clothing in my opinion. It depends on how well you’re taken care of. If your hair looked like you’d just crawled out of bed and you looked in general like you just don’t care about yourself, then yeah, I’d probably think they were fake. If you looked like you took care of yourself and fixed your hair (even in a ponytail, it can be neat and trimmed) and took care of it, and at least washed and moisturized your face, I wouldn’t think anything about it. Just remember that if you’re able to buy those things because you saved all that money buying clothes at Kmart, but then those treasures stay tucked away in a closet because you don’t want people to think they’re fake, then you really haven’t done yourself a favor. If you love them, use them and don’t worry about what anyone else thinks. And just for the record, I know a lot of very wealthy, fancy dressed women that wear fake diamonds, either because they’re wealthy because they’re tightwads or because they don’t want to wear that kind of money on their fingers for fear of having them cut off.

Llet me tell you something, as long as YOU know that your diamonds and LV are real, that is all that matters. Sorta like, “IN YOUR FACE!”
I always figure that a person should not be all in my face checking out my clothes, looking at my jewelry, etc. They need to get a life and focus energy on themselves, not hate on other people.
