What are the requirements for a Kmart Loss Prevention Job?

I currently work at Kmart as an electronics associate and am hoping to be moved to Loss Prevention. What are the requirements to become an LPA with Kmart? I currently have 6 months with the company and three more months of experience with another company (temp. position).

Also, what is the starting wage for an LPA with Kmart?

As you already know, K-Mart and Sears are pretty much as one. I currently work LP for Sears. If you make one fatal mistake; such as a false arrest. You can cost your company thousands of dollars in a law suit.
Know the job details, sure it’s cool to play around with surveillance CCTV cameras. But keep in mind you pretty much stare at a monitor for about 8 1/2 hours a day, do safety, and shipping audits. It takes about 90 days to get certified to actually apprehend a shoplifter. There is a lot of training involved.
I had previous experience in law enforcement, so getting hired with loss prevention was quite easy for me.
Your previous experience for working for K-mart is excellent, speak with your LP manager if there is any openings.
Your wage varies from state to state. But I’m from Washington State and I started at $9 and after I was certified to apprehended shoplifters, I was getting paid about $10.10 and my annual raise was only 23 cents..
