i dunno, but ive worked at other department stores like toys r us and target and the interviews and orientations were like group ones where we watched videos and they had us sign our tax papers and stuff,we toured the store.it took a couple of hours. the interview at target was long with a lot of questions-easy. but the toys r us one was just where we pretended we were trying to get a customer to buy a toy we picked out. its prob the same.

okay man, let me tell you from being a previous employee.
Kmart looks for a well kept appearance (dress well - i dont think its really possible to over do it, well groomed). The kind of questions they ask are like “If you witness violence in the workplace what would you do?” contact a manager “Do you think it’s okay to steal?” uhh yes? NOOO “What would you do if you saw somebody stealing or had reason to believe that they were stealing?”let security know “can you tell me of a time you were a team leader?” make up some b.s. if you dont have a legit answer
Just be very happy go-lucky with your answers - DO NOT BE REALISTIC just tell them what they want to hear. have the attitude that you are the little christian boy who can do no wring.

      Orientation SUCKS!
If I remember correctly, it is a 2 day video-watching marathon. And what makes it worse is you have to pay attention b/c they test you on the things you learn
p.s. they literally brain wash you to want to be the best employee in the world after orientation

good luck (the interview is the easiest part - if you present yourself well, and answer the questions exceptionally, you will get hired) Everybody that I know that applied there got the job. Its almost like they hire anybody. Still try in the interview
