Many retailers keep people part time because they don’t want to pay benefits. You may also be losing hours due to your sales figures. I’ve seen many poor souls trying to sell company credit cards. It may be a good idea to find other work.

8.25 an hr at Wal-mart. I don’t know about K-mart. Still not enough

cashiering experience is not exactly desirable, its not that hard to do

Part could be because if they let you get over 30 hours a week, you get classified as a full time employ and they have to pay benefits. Many of the discounters periodically cut back on hours during slower times. They keep hiring because that way they have a pool of employees to replace any that find better jobs. Then, too, it might be because you are not selling the premium services. It is hard to say exactly without knowing your specific situation. Did you work more than 30 hours a week during the preceding 3 months?

OurTJ Maxx quit doing lay aways this year you really need to call the store you go to and see if they still offer it.
walmart quit
i think goodys does them.my sister in law does it there.

You could try to get online website to Stewart website to see if you can find something on there. I had a tree three year without instructions.

I shop both and none of mine sell any of the same items at all. I like the quality of both, I spend more at Kmart. For a store that use to be known as cheesy, and they have had years that cheesey items were sold, today I find thier stores sell very high quality clothing. Thier selecton this past Christmas was awesome, so was Sears but they are much more expensive. I like how if your at Kmart online looking for specific products, below they will show what is sold as Sears in addition to the items they sell at Kmart. Im really happy to see both stores still around.
